Helping Redbirds CHARTER
Group’s Mission Statement: Our mission is to help serve the youth of the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal and provide new positive experiences for the children.
Morals of our group: Respect one another at all times. Take responsibility of the role you are serving to the group and for the actions you make. Be kind to everyone who is involved with the group including members, volunteers/workers at the Boys and Girls Club, and the children involved with the organization.

Knowledge goal: Learn how to properly plan and execute fundraising events; learn how to efficiently be part of a group and work with each other as a team.

Affective goal: We want to feel the gratification of helping children and young adults by making a difference in their lives through positive engagements.

Behavioral goal: We want to be able to develop meaningful relationships with the children. Our group is willing to put in the time and effort to impact the children through activities/programs that are held within the organization.

Expectations of each other: Be on time to meetings and volunteering events. If you a member is going to be late, they must let the team know at least 5 minutes prior to the meeting. No texting or surfing the web during meetings. Give notice to the team if you cannot make a meeting or volunteering hours at least one day ahead of time. If you are more than twenty minutes late to a meeting, you must bring food for the whole group. Must attend and participate in fundraisers thrown by the group. Start off meetings right away, don’t procrastinate and slow down the group.

14. Please list your top three choices for the project (in order with your first choice on top)

15. What is your PRIMARY SMART GOAL?  What are the instrumental objectives to this goal?  What are your criteria for evaluating success on this goal?
Raise $100 in funds or equivalent to volunteer hours per person. The objective is to fund raise as much money from our group that we have the ability to do. Hard work is necessary for us to successfully accomplish this goal.

16. What is your FIRST SMART GOAL?  What are the instrumental objectives to this goal?  What are your criteria for evaluating success on this goal?
Exceed volunteer hours, by 30 minutes per person. The objective is to go above and beyond for volunteering. Criteria would include getting information on more volunteering opportunities.

17. What is your SECOND SMART GOAL?  What are the instrumental objectives to this goal?  What are your criteria for evaluating success on this goal?
Get to know a specific child from the boys and girls club, during the fall semester of 2016. The objective is to make a positive difference in a child's life in the boys and girls club. To successfully accomplish this goal we will be supportive, positive role models to the children in the boys and girls club.

18. How do you plan to reach your goals?  Describe what fundraisers your team plans to try out.  Please note what, if any, work you've already done to enact your plan.
Go fund me was a fundraiser idea we have come up with or selling donuts maybe. We have not started any fundraisers yet. We are still brainstorming some ideas.

19. Would your team like to be considered for any volunteering options if/when they become available?
Yes, we would like to help in as many ways possible.

20. What is your proposed timeline for achieving your goals?  Be as specific as possible when indicating prep work and fundraising achievement dates.
We want to finish the project by November 10th to earn extra credit. We also want to have all of our money fund raised by the end of October. We need to stay on task with the weekly assignments to turn them in on time.

21. What potential problems do you anticipate in executing these tasks?  What are you doing to prepare to overcome these problems?
A potential problem is time management. We all have busy schedules, and want to be the most efficient group to tackle these tasks. Also finding the best, most rewarding fundraisers to donate money. We are thinking ahead in ways to take on each task, before any major problem arises.

22. What fallback plans do you think you could execute, and what is your “point of no return” situation and date when you think you’d make the decision to implement the fallback plan?  (Ex:  “If we don’t have $X in by March 1 we’ll implement fallback plan Y”).
If we don't have $700 in by the end of October we'll implement fallback plan to ask for more donations or try another fundraiser idea.

23. Please list any team members who did NOT participate in creating your project proposal, or contributed very little.  A quick explanation of what they did/didn't do would be helpful.  This isn't to get anyone in trouble but to verify that everyone in the group has had a chance to comment on the plan you're turning in (and if they didn't, why not).
Everyone in our group participated in creating our proposal. We worked on it together.
