Meeting 2 Minutes (09-17-16)
Our 2nd meeting started at 5:00 pm on Sept 15th in our classroom in Edwards. We decided against meeting in Milner at first, but then changed our minds. We decided during our meeting to move the meeting to the 3rd floor of Milner to get some questions answered by the professor. Present members included: Kayla (Historian), Rachel (Liaison), Alyssa (webmaster), Miranda (webmaster), Maria (treasure), Christine (treasure), and Molly (recorder). Nobody was absent.
We started the meeting by researching more into Wishbone, but sadly discovered that their volunteer hours were not going to work out with our groups hectic schedules. We brainstormed more to think of a new organization and new team name. As a group we decided that we were going to chose the Boys and Girls club. We decided a new name to be Helping Redbirds. Miranda also made us a wonderful loco design for us.
We looked into the new assignments and due dates for the future too. We discussed some SMART goals for our project and fundraisers. A great fundraiser idea Rachel thought of was asking Mel-O-Cream to sell donuts to help raise money. All members need to think over this weekend and report back with more fundraiser ideas. Alyssa and Miranda our webmasters have already started a great website for us to use.
We want to make every team meeting as efficient as possible, We plan to meet for a quick get back of ideas sometime on Tuesday. This is our first official meeting out of class, therefore we did not have to review or approve minutes from our in class meeting last week. We had a successful first meeting out of class. Our meeting ended at 6:25 pm. A total of an hour and 25 minutes of group meeting time.
Our next official meeting will take place on Sept 22 at 5:00 on the 3rd floor of Milner Library.
Meeting 3 Agenda (09-22-16)
Group 15, Team Helping Redbirds: Sept 22 Agenda
Team Helping Redbirds will be meeting this Thursday on September 22nd, 2016 at 5 PM on the 3rd floor of Milner.
We had a small out of class get together at the same location in Milner on Tuesday. We went over the issue paper and proposal ideas. Just as a way to get ahead of the class.
Every member is expected to bring more positive ideas for our project. Come with an open- mind. Be ready for us to finish up our final assignments due for Friday!
Primary Objectives
- Finish the code of conduct with charter
-Do proposal
-Determine days and times we are available to go to the organization
-Establish more fundraiser ideas and do survey
To achieve our goals, we need to stay focused and determined.
Meeting 3 Minutes (09-22-16)
Our third meeting was to be held on the third floor of Milner at 5:00 PM on Thursday Sept 22, 2016. Kayla had to leave the meeting early for future apartment signing for next year. She suggested that everyone in our group that were available to meet early could come at 4:45 so that she could be more apart of the meeting. Everyone was able to meet a little early, but Miranda couldn't she had class. We had a very long meeting this week to finish everything in time. Present members included: Miranda (webmaster), Alyssa (webmaster), Christine (treasure), Maria (treasure), Rachel (liaison), Kayla (historian), and Molly (recorder). Nobody was absent.
We started the meeting by reviewing the papers we have written for the project. We realized that the issue paper and overview paper needed some work done. As a group we started bouncing off sentences for the papers that sounded the best. We also started and finished the charter. We got the survey done and went over more fundraiser ideas. We want to be able to make as much money as possible for the Boys and Girls Club.
Our last meeting was an hour and 25 minutes we had a lot of brainstorming ideas last week. We discussed maybe using Mel-O-Cream to sell donuts for a fundraiser. We began all the up coming assignments due for Sept 23. We accomplished a lot last time, but this time we accomplished even more. Everyone came back with more thoughts.
Miranda uploaded our picture for the website already. We thought of another way to raise money could be through Go Fund Me. If we all put it on our facebook, we think it will be very successful. Another good idea to volunteer would be to paint pumpkins with the kids. It would be a fun activity for them to enjoy.
For the next meeting we hope to get information back from the Boys and Girls Club of when we can volunteer our time. We want to take action as soon as possible. Everyone in the group is expected to continue thinking of good ideas to come back with for the next meeting. Our meeting from this week ended at 7:05. The meeting was a total of two hours and 20 minutes long. We were very successful in this time frame.
Our next official meeting will take place on Sept 29 at 5:00 on the third floor of Milner Library.

The primary objective is to hopefully be able to get in contact with The Boys and Girls club organization to get a start on our fundraisers. We will be able to have a better understanding of our options once we get to talk to the people in charge of the organization.
To achieve our goals we need to hear back from the organization. We want to be on the same page with them as well as with our group members.

For example our ideas are painting pumpkins, candle decorating, movie night with popcorn, and chaperon nights.
Our last meeting was two hours and 20 minutes long. We accomplished a lot last week. We finished all assignments due. We also came up with many ideas.
This week we started our Go Fund Me. We already have a donation for 20 dollars. It has not even been open for 24 hours yet. We are hopeful it will be a great way to start fundraising money for the Boys and Girls Club.
For the next meeting we are still hopeful on hearing back from the organization. We want to get a good start on our volunteering hours. Everyone in the group is expected to share the Go Fund Me on their facebook by the next meeting. Our meeting from this week ended at 6:11. The meeting was a total of one hour and 11 minutes long.

Raider Farms will hopefully be able to donate pumpkins for our pumpkin painting night. Rachel is going to call them.
We also started talking about the mid-term assessment We thought it was due today, but happily found out it's due next week. We have begun writing ideas to use in the mid-term. We feel on top of the project, but still wish to speak to the Boys and Girls Club soon.
Our last meeting was one hour and 11 minutes long. We got a donation process going, and cleared up a lot of topics. For the next meeting we want to be just as productive as last week.
